Misenware is built with thick 304 stainless steel and rounded corners that reflect microwave energy safely. NOTE: Make sure Misenware doesn't come in contact with the microwave's metal plate, rack, or interior walls which can cause sparking or burn marks. Do not microwave cutlery or foil with Misenware, as this will cause sparking.

Misenware containers are safe in 1000W microwaves for up to 10 minutes at a time, and 1100W for up to 5 minutes at a time. Check the sticker inside your microwave door or your microwave's manual to confirm your oven's wattage. Do not use in 1200W microwaves or 915 MHz microwaves.

Yes. The lid is microwave-safe at 1100W for up to 5 minutes at a time, and at 1000W for up to 10 minutes at a time. Leave the steam vent open when microwaving to release excess steam and cook efficiently. Note that the lid gets extremely hot after microwaving, so always use oven mitts or a towel when removing it, and use caution when removing lids, as steam may escape.
