Why It’s Great

Better With Every Cook

Carbon steel develops a naturally nonstick surface the more you cook on it. One of the few kitchen tools that actually improves with use.

Expanded Cooking Surface

Extra floor space means you can sear proteins without crowding and cook more in fewer batches—with the same footprint as your other pans.

Handle Stays Cool Despite the Heat

An ergonomic, stay-cool handle means you're not reaching for a towel or an oven mitt every time you need to move the pan.

Always in Season

We did 2 rounds of seasoning, so you don’t have to.

Two layers of neutral oil baked at high heat so you can skip the break-in phase while the surface gets more nonstick with every cook.

Thin for the Win

This body was built for high heat cooking.

At only 2.0mm, our Carbon Steel cookware heats faster and sears better than virtually any other pan.

    Excellent little pan.

It's an excellent pan, though a bit heavy for a small pan.

    What a fantastic pan

I honestly can’t praise Misen enough. The pan itself is fantastic. It heats evenly, develops a beautiful seasoning, and produces an incredible sear. It’s quickly become one of my favourite pieces of cookware.

What impressed me even more, though, was the customer service. I had an issue with my original pan, and Misen handled it brilliantly. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. They listened, stood behind their product, and made everything completely hassle-free.

In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Misen really sets the standard. It’s refreshing to buy from a company that genuinely cares about its customers and has confidence in its products.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Misen to anyone looking for high-quality carbon steel cookware backed by first-class customer support. A fantastic company with equally fantastic products.

10" and 12" Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Frying Pans

The 10" + 12" Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Frying Pan Set is built for serious searing and everyday cooking that gets more naturally nonstick over time. Both pans come pre-seasoned, so you can start cooking right out of the box, then let a patina develop with use for that classic carbon steel release.

Two sizes help cover the meals you actually make. Reach for the 10" pan when you want a manageable skillet for smaller batches, and step up to the 12" when you need more room to spread food out for better browning. If you are comparing within the lineup, the pre-seasoned carbon steel cookware range shows the broader family this set belongs to, including other set options.

Performance details are all about carbon steel: the construction is designed for fast heating and excellent searing, and the 2.0 to 2.5 mm thickness helps with heat retention without excessive weight. You also get a stay-cool ergonomic handle for more comfortable stovetop cooking, plus oven safety up to 500°F for recipes that start on the burner and finish in the oven.

These pans are induction compatible, so they work across a wide mix of cooktops. If you are also shopping other shapes and styles, browsing frying pans and sautés can help you decide where carbon steel fits alongside other pan types in your kitchen.

Care is straightforward but important: hand wash only, using a non-metallic sponge or scrubber. Misen notes that if you use soap, just a few drops will do, then dry thoroughly after washing. For best results, pre-heat the pan for 1 to 2 minutes and cook with a small amount of oil (about ½ to 1 Tbsp). For step-by-step guidance, see carbon steel pan care.

Frequently Asked Questions About Carbon Steel Frying Pans

Are these carbon steel frying pans oven-safe?

Yes. This set is oven safe up to 500°F (260°C), which is useful for finishing a stovetop sear in the oven. Always use appropriate oven protection when handling the pan and handle.

Will these pans work on induction cooktops?

Yes. The product listing notes the pans are induction compatible, in addition to being designed for stovetop cooking and oven use up to 500°F.

Do I need to season the pans before first use?

The pans come pre-seasoned and are ready to roll right out of the box. With continued cooking, the pre-seasoned surface is designed to become more naturally nonstick over time as a patina develops.

What is the recommended way to preheat and cook with these pans?

For best results, Misen recommends pre-heating the pan for 1 to 2 minutes, then cooking with a small amount of oil (about ½ to 1 tablespoon). This routine supports searing and helps the surface continue building its naturally nonstick patina.

How should I clean and dry carbon steel after cooking?

Hand wash only with a non-metallic sponge or scrubber. If you use soap, keep it to a few drops, then dry the pan thoroughly after washing. The Carbon Care page includes more detailed guidance.
