Pair it with

Why It’s Great

Corners Are Where Sauces Go to Die

Curved interior walls make stirring easier so sauces stay moving and nothing gets scorched in the corners you can't reach.

Wide Mouth = Faster Reduction

More surface area means more evaporation, which means your sauce reduces faster. Bet your geometry teacher didn’t tell you that.

Handle Stays Cool Despite the Heat

An ergonomic, stay-cool handle means you're not reaching for a towel or an oven mitt every time you need to move the pan.

Why 5-Ply?

5-ply means a pan that performs (and looks good).

Three layers of steel and two of aluminum, bonded at 3.0mm thickness for even heat. No hot spots, no warping.

Easy-Peasy Clean-sy

Throw it in the dishwasher and watch a movie.

We tested it. And tested it again. And again. Our Stainless Steel won’t warp and is virtually indestructible, so you can chill on the cleaning routine.

Questions?

Are stainless steel pans difficult to care for?

Not at all! Throw them in the dishwasher, let them soak overnight, sear on high-heat — our stainless steel cookware can take anything and truly lasts a lifetime.

Will my pans be nonstick?

Stainless Steel is not nonstick, however, there are ways to make the surface temporarily nonstick before each cooking session.
To do this, heat the pan over medium heat for 2 minutes, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and swirl it around the pan. When you see smoke turn off the heat. Let the pan cool down and wipe out any excess oil. Your pan is now temporarily seasoned and should remain nonstick until you wash it with soap!

Is the cookware induction compatible?

Definitely!

How do I clean stains and discoloration off of the pans?

Use Bar Keeper's Friend, (baking soda will also work!), water, and a lightly abrasive sponge.

Doesn’t every company on earth claim their stuff is better?

Yep! That’s why we tend to let our reviews do the talking. At Misen, our goal is to make great products and sell them for fair and honest prices. That’s what value means to us.

    Love this little pan

I’m quite impressed with this saucier. I have a set of All-Clad cookware, which I absolutely love, and I’ve also purchased several pieces from Made In because I was impressed with their business model and the fact that their pans are American-made. However, I have to say that I haven’t been as impressed with the Made In pieces I’ve purchased.

I had missed a sale on an All-Clad saucier that was similar to this one—and it didn’t even come with a lid—so when I saw this one pop up, I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did!

I’ve used it numerous times now, and I find it to be just as impressive as my All-Clad pieces. It has a nice heft, the stainless steel feels very high quality, and it performs beautifully. I’m really pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

    Great cookware

This pan is awesome. I purchased an ALLCLAD pan and it was very expensive and right from the first use it’s totally discolored(lesson learned )…This pan however has been used so many times for so many different things and it cleans up beautifully to looking like new. I’m going to be replacing my pans with more Misen pans.

    Handle stays cool

I had another, cheaper sauce pan that was the same size but the handle was made of sheet metal. It would always get too hot and I would have to use a towel to grab the handle. This pan completely solves that problem. I never feel like the handle is too hot.

1.5 Quart Stainless Steel Saucier

The 1.5 QT Stainless Steel Saucier is built for the jobs that make a saucepan feel fussy: constant whisking, careful reductions, and clean, controlled pouring. Misen’s rounded sides help you stir without food getting stuck in corners, and the curved lip is designed for neater transfers from pan to bowl. When you are done, it is dishwasher safe, so cleanup stays straightforward.

This saucier uses 5-ply stainless steel construction with a 3.0mm thickness, which is designed for even heating with fewer hot spots and strong heat retention. The wide mouth helps with faster evaporation and better sauce control, so you can keep an eye on texture and consistency as you cook. It also includes a lid, which is useful when you want to cover between stirs or bring ingredients back up to temperature.

For stovetop flexibility, it is induction compatible, and it is oven safe up to 800 F (426 C). The stay-cool ergonomic handle is shaped for comfortable stovetop cooking, especially when you are stirring frequently. If you are building out a matching setup, see the stainless steel cookware lineup for more pieces in the same material.

If you are new to stainless, the biggest difference is technique: Misen recommends preheating the empty pan on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes, or until a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. For best results, cook with oil or butter. For stubborn stains, apply Bar Keeper s Friend or baking soda, then rub with a soft sponge or cloth. The stainless steel pan care guide goes deeper on cleaning and maintenance.

Need a different shape or capacity for other tasks? Browse the wider cookware assortment to compare pieces based on how you cook, whether that means more surface area, a different profile, or another size for bigger batches.

Frequently Asked Questions About Stainless Steel Sauciers

What makes this 1.5 qt saucier different from a typical saucepan?

This saucier is designed with rounded sides, which makes stirring easier and helps reduce food stuck in corners. It also has a curved lip for cleaner pouring. Compared with straight-sided pans, the wide mouth is intended to support faster evaporation and better sauce control.

Is the 1.5 qt stainless steel saucier dishwasher safe?

Yes. The product page lists it as dishwasher safe, which makes it a good choice when you want stainless steel performance without extra hand-washing steps after everyday cooking.

Can I use this saucier on induction and in the oven?

Yes. The saucier is induction compatible, and it is oven safe up to 800 F (426 C). That combination is helpful if you want to start a recipe on the stovetop, then finish it in the oven using the same pan.

How should I preheat and clean this stainless steel saucier?

Misen recommends preheating the empty pan on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes, or until a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. Cook with oil or butter for best results. For stubborn stains, use Bar Keeper s Friend or baking soda with a soft sponge or cloth.
