Questions?

Are stainless steel pans difficult to care for?

Not at all! Throw them in the dishwasher, let them soak overnight, sear on high-heat — our stainless steel cookware can take anything and truly lasts a lifetime.

Will my pans be nonstick?

Stainless Steel is not nonstick, however, there are ways to make the surface temporarily nonstick before each cooking session.
To do this, heat the pan over medium heat for 2 minutes, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and swirl it around the pan. When you see smoke turn off the heat. Let the pan cool down and wipe out any excess oil. Your pan is now temporarily seasoned and should remain nonstick until you wash it with soap!

Is the cookware induction compatible?

Definitely!

How do I clean stains and discoloration off of the pans?

Use Bar Keeper's Friend, (baking soda will also work!), water, and a lightly abrasive sponge.

Doesn’t every company on earth claim their stuff is better?

Yep! That’s why we tend to let our reviews do the talking. At Misen, our goal is to make great products and sell them for fair and honest prices. That’s what value means to us.

    I love this Bad Boy!

I wanted to replace my 30+ year old dutch oven with a stainless steel product. I did not want the weight of enameled cast iron nor the worry of chipping the enamel. I love the size of this for a batch of spaghetti sauce or beans or soup. I plan to use it in the oven for a pot roast. The size is just right. It is really sturdy without being too heavy and I appreciate the good fit on the lid. It cleans up easily too! I have to say I am very, very happy with this purchase.

    Perfect size

My new Dutch oven (6.75) is pretty new and I haven't used it a lot, but for me it is the perfect size. I've been trashing all my non-stick cookware and this completes my transition. So far (only used a couple of times) I'm very pleased with it.

    Love it‼️

Reverting to total stainless steel. I love this Dutch oven. It’s not too heavy and I love the brushed stainless. I’ve had no problems with sticking of foods. Just follow instructions when preheating. The handles are substantial for easy lifting/holding. I was not at all disappointed..

Love my stainless steel dutch oven.

Stainless Steel Dutch Oven for Everyday Cooking

The Misen 6.75 QT Stainless Steel Dutch Oven is built for everyday, big-batch cooking when you want the versatility of a classic Dutch oven without the cast-iron heft. Its thick 5-ply stainless steel construction is designed for excellent heat control and even heating with fewer hot spots, making it a practical choice for soups, braises, pasta, and other one-pot meals.

If you are comparing materials, stainless steel is a great fit when you want durability, fast cleanup, and a pot that transitions easily across cooking methods. This Dutch oven is dishwasher safe, induction compatible, and oven safe up to 800°F, so it can move from stovetop to oven with confidence for braising, baking, or finishing. For more pieces in the same material family, you can browse Misen’s stainless steel cookware lineup.

Capacity-wise, 6.75 quarts hits a sweet spot for weeknight cooking and entertaining. The wide 11 in diameter with a 9.75 in cooking surface gives you room to brown ingredients before simmering, and the included lid helps hold heat and moisture once everything is in the pot. If you are shopping across shapes and formats, the dutch ovens and braisers collection is the best place to compare options side by side.

Stainless steel cooking does have a small learning curve, and Misen spells it out clearly: preheat the empty Dutch oven on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes, until a splash of water forms round balls that bounce on the surface, then add oil or butter before cooking. That simple step helps with sticking and sets you up for better browning and easier cleanup.

For care, this pot is designed to be straightforward. It can go in the dishwasher, and for stubborn stains you can use Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda with a soft sponge or cloth. If you want a deeper walkthrough based on Misen’s instructions, the Dutch oven care page is a helpful reference. You also get a 60-day test drive, free returns, and a lifetime warranty against defects.

Frequently Asked Questions About Stainless Steel Dutch Ovens

Is this stainless steel Dutch oven dishwasher safe?

Yes. This Dutch oven is listed as dishwasher safe, so routine cleanup can be as simple as running it through a normal cycle. For discoloration or stubborn stains, Misen recommends using Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda and gently rubbing with a soft sponge or cloth.

Can I use it in the oven, and what temperature is it rated for?

Yes. The Dutch oven is oven safe up to 800°F (426°C), which makes it suitable for oven braises and other recipes that start on the stovetop and finish in the oven. The lid is included, so you can cook covered when your recipe calls for it.

Will it work on induction cooktops?

Yes. The product is induction compatible, so it can be used on induction in addition to other common stovetop types. This is helpful if you are upgrading cookware now or planning ahead for a future cooktop change.

How should I preheat stainless steel before cooking to reduce sticking?

Misen recommends preheating the empty Dutch oven on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes. It is ready when a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. After that, add oil or butter before adding ingredients for best results.

What types of meals is this Dutch oven designed for?

This 6.75-quart Dutch oven is described as ideal for soups, braises, pasta, and one-pot meals. The thick 5-ply stainless steel construction is designed for excellent heat control and even heating, which supports both simmering and browning in the same pot.
